Yo! I'm doing this late, but at least it's getting done right? I'm doing this while listening to the Anime OSTs that're on my laptop. How is you all, anyway? Me? not too bad, just bored. Wish E was here, barging into my dorm every 10 minutes. Dad killed a sheep today ^^ but said that it was too slippery on the farm where he gutted it 'n' stuff that I'd've had a hard time. Last time he let me watch, he did it in the shed and we trudged down the farm to the hole to put the guts 'n' wool in and I was pleasantly surprised that I was hauling dad back, not the other way around. I wouldn't be surprised if I don't stay up 'till somewhere past midnight, coz I had a friggin huge afternoon sleep from 2 'till about 7:45. Reception's pretty crap here, only get 1 bar if I'm lucky. Granny's not so bad, 2 - 3 bars there. I been tweeting when I can. Really nice to read what you guys're doing, takes my mind off things. Granny herself is cool. I love going there, she's a marvelous cook. Loves doing crosswords too. Today I've been watching House, Advent Children, an play'ng Pokemon Yellow, all on my laptop. Haven't touched my "Outer space in your pocket" book yet though. Also also, no mozzies, yay. They never bite me anyway coz of my fistulas. Did I ever tell you guys I have two? I remember writing it somewhere in a deviation, but I don't think I ever told you. Well, I have 2, both in the same arm, but one died the day after they formed it. The upper arm's goin strong, but I find it hard to get shirts an' tops 'n' things that fit both arms just right. Now, weather wise, rain'n'fog non-stop since we came dammit, which meant no moreporks or cloudless skies. Actually, I don't think there've been any mozzies this time 'round yet. On to what else I've been doing, I helped with dishes tonight, and eating a lot of my brother's homemade beef jerky, that stuff's pretty freakin addictive, but mum can't seem to stand the stuff, all the salt I guess, but that's why I love it...aside from the meat. I persuaded dad to pack it in our luggage. Clodhoppers 'n' crocs're really good for walking 'round the lodge's dorms 'n' stuff. I'm gonna go to bed now and hopefully get to sleep. I ain't promising anything, but...

30th December 2009
Hi guys. Today was much more exciting for me than the past few days've been. I slept 'till 12 something, which was cool coz I wasn't tired the night before since I slept in the afternoon. I didn't get to sleep until 2am or something this morning. But I was a good girl and took my meds at the proper time, I just went back to bed after that. When I got up the 2nd time, I had my shower. Those showers are really good, must be coz the water is straight rain water. I did the farm track with mum and dad. It's not one of the official routes to walk, but it was good anyway. It's my grandfather's farmland. weather wise, today is a big change from the first couple of days we were here. It's sunny, and there's no fog. When I made my lunch today, I decided to have it in the lounge while reading a book that some kid had left. It was called 'Magic kitten', about a magical kitten that meets a girl and follows her around everywhere to keep himself safe....or something. The kitten 'rules' a kingdom, but his uncle took it away from him. I also decided to listen to the radio. I would've played the piano, but it's missing a few notes, and hasn't been tuned in years. Plus, I kinda forgot all the songs I was taught, so I can only play chopsticks. We're going into Kawhia tomorrow. I wanna go to the Hamilton gardens sometime, but I dunno if we're gonna be able to this trip. I'm also gonna go to see Granny tomorrow with my laptop. Yay.

31st December 2009
Hey, everyone. I'm writing this one from Granny's dining table. I have nice music, and a wonderful view of the harbor in the distance. Dad and mum have gone off to dock the sheep. I dunno why, but I kept waking up this morning, until I finally got out of bed at 7, Last night I started on my Outer space book, very interesting. ....Right, back in my lodge dorm now, with only a few hours until new year's day. I hope you all have a good countdown with fireworks 'n' stuff. Anywho, we went to Ocean beach this afternoon where we dug hot pools. The one we dug was about 60*C, so now mum and I are quite pink. It's not fair, dad stayed in longer than we did, but he stayed as white as he always does T-T After we got out, dressed, and, of course, rinsed off, we still smelled very strongly of Hydrogen Sulphide. Seeing as I kept waking during the night, and I didn't sleep during the day, I somehow doubt I'll be able to keep myself awake to see the new year in. I took my laptop to Granny's, and went to show her the photos dad 'said' he put on his zipdisk, but when went searching, each folder was empty. I have no idea why, but I'm proud of the fact that seem to be able to clean a joint of meat better than dad., who can clean a joint pretty well already. The joint we had tonight was a sheep hip and tail. Dad threw the hip out before I could get it, but I was quick getting the tail. We're going back into Kawhia tomorrow for the yearly new year's festival on the warf, and swim in the harbor. I decided that I won't go swimming tomorrow, just paddle. Anyway, I don't really have anything else to say tonight, so, night <3 *hugs and a safe new year*

1st January 2010
Happy new year, peeps. Each new year ain't too different from the previous, except for what we do each day at that time, maybe the weather, and of course, the year date. What'd you all do anyway? I was actually kept up by a Morepork outside my window. I did get to sleep finally though, at the early hour of 11pm. I dunno why, but I woke up this morning really itchy. I know I haven't been bitten by mozzies, I haven't since I got the fistulas done. Today, mum and dad were planning to go swimming in the harbor, but it's quite cold, even though it's incredibly sunny, so I think we'll just be going to the festival on the warf. All the pink has gone from yesterday, which I'm happy about. Even though the hot pools were really nice....and hot, my feet and hands were really uncomfortable after we'd got back to the car. ...well, we did go to the warf festival, but mum didn't give me a chance to have a proper look 'round. Oh well. We also went for a paddle in the harbor and went to granny's. I took a few photos today, and, along with the ones I have so far, it's a lot. Dad took us to the Kawhia Memorial wall to see my Granddad. I'm really tired from my day out in Kawhia today, but I managed to stay awake all through dinner, desert, and dishes. After that, I .got woken up some by the lodge kitchen becoming a butcher shop with the butcher being dad, me as bag lady, and mum as bag-labeling lady. I'm still making my way through the beef jerky that we got given for Christmas. Mum and dad won't touch the stuff T-T Anyway, my day was busy, I had an early rise, and now it's 10 minutes to midnight, so I think I'll say goodnight. I'm going to dust my feet, and get into bed. Luv ya <3

2nd January 2010

I'm at the lodge by myself today because mum and dad have gone to granny's to do some more work on the farm. Last night dad took us all through the routine of getting sheep into a pen. It takes quite a fair bit of patience. Dad didn't have a dog or whistle on hand yesterday for rounding the sheep, so he used mum and vocal commands. I thought mum was a bit of a wuss when it came time to dock the lambs. Dad did too. I asked him how he thought I'd go if it were me instead of mum at docking time, and he was pretty sure I'd refuse to look away, even if I was asked (like that would ever happen at docking time). If given the chance, I think I'd even be happy removing the lamb's tail myself. Anyway, mum is working as the sheepdog again today. I wonder, if I'd've been born with a Cerebellum, would dad have taken me along? Tomorrow's our last full day here at the lodge. At the same time as I can't wait to get back, there are things that I'll miss ...until I next come up this way, hopefully in June with my sister. I'll miss the scenery, the softness of the water. But I have to go back to Palmy, not only because it's the end of our time at the lodge for another year, but because I have my bloods and checkups to keep up with, and also, my friends.  I's so glad that I have my laptop, DVDs, and cell with Twitter with me, otherwise I think I'd go insane with boredom. :devlaurnpenman-dbz:, I enjoyed our little conversation immensely. I actually felt like my sister was here (at night, anyway), even though you and I live in separate countries and are in no way, related at all. Anyhoo, yes, I stayed behind here because I was extremely tired out from yesterday. I mean, it's 3:28pm, and I only just woke up and had my shower just after lunch time.

3rd January 2010

Today I got to be a sheepdog in training. I really enjoyed going down to the shearing yard with dad. He had his hand shears with him because he had to shear a ewe who'd missed a shearing because she chose to stay in the bush. There was a big ram there as well that we had to keep a weary eye on. He still had his tail too. We also took granny to her shift at the Kawhia museum, went to two art galleries, my Grandfather's grave to plant a jar of flowers from granny's garden, and went for ice cream. Mum and I both had two scoops in our cones. Granny's having dinner with us, which'll be nice. The more she can help us with food or anything that requires taking things that we don't need from us, the better. I'll stop writing here after I've done this; "I'll be back online as soon as I put this on dA"

:iconimhappyplz::iconsaysplz: "Luv ya!!"
